We have visited Flamingo land several times and have always enjoyed our time there, there is so much to do and see.

There are rides for all ages, so if it's the Cup and Saucers or the Big Dipper you like I'm sure there will be something here for you. If you're more like me, and don't really like the rides, then there is still much more to do.

There are lots of animals (monkeys, tigers, giraffes), a Bird House and my all time favourite animal ever, the hippos. I can't really say I enjoyed the Bat House, it's dark and spooky with lots of bats ducking and diving at your head. Not a place for small easily scared children at all. The muddy ducks park is lovely for smaller children, lots of them waddling around.

During the day they have lots of entertainment for the kids. Postman Pat has his own show and our son loved it,he kept shouting for "popat" all day long. They have little shows around the site like tribal acts, clowns and the famous Seal Show.

Take some spare clothing with you as there is a massive wet water area, with jets and fountains all coming up out of the floor. We got absolutely drenched and our son loved every minute of it - shooting daddy with big water guns is always fun.

With plenty of places to eat and drink, there are lots of choices available. Food bought on the site is likely to be more expensive, so you would be better off taking a picnic. We leave ours in the car until dinner time, saves carrying it around then I send out the hubby, whilst we find a nice spot on the big green grassed area near to the little train ride station.

If you know you're going in advance, there are nearly always some great vouchers on Ebay (3 for 2).
